    Description

60 Fresh Princess Pine Branches Wintergreen Bough
    Garland Wreath Making Material
    Hand-picked from northern
    MN, USA
These feathery soft, hardy yet delicate looking 6 to 8 inch princess pine stems are sustainably harvested
    in northern
    MN
    .
    NOT dried, but picked fresh
just for you after you place your order.
The luscious green color and soft texture make these a unique and delightful green accent to any floral decor, and they're perfect evergreen for wreaths, door hangers, floral decor, boughs, centerpiece accents, wedding arrangements, garlands, terrariums, fairy gardens, etc.
Also a great substitute or compliment to your balsam boughs or spruce branch arrangements.
Perfect for any decor theme or party event where a refreshing outdoor feel is desired, as well as for winter weddings, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or other winter holiday winter decorations.
AVAILABLE LIMITED TIME: When snow is too thick to dig through, I won't be able to get these until spring. We've already had a few frosts in Northern MN, but hard to predict when and how much snow will fall. August is only month there's never been snow here (interesting tidbit, eh).
    Features
SOFT: Looks prickly, but has a feathery feel.
FRESH: I'll pick it within one day of mailing it out
STROBILI: Some have the strobili, and some don't. They probably won't have many or any spores in spring or summer, though.
    QTY: This listing is for
    60 sprigs
    COLOR: a beautiful natural evergreen.
ALL NATURAL: no color, dyes, pesticides, chemicals or preservatives used or added whatsoever.
Harvested by the wife of the CEO of Climbing Monkeys
    Details
BOTANICAL NAMES: Also known as: Prickly Tree Ground-pine, Round-branched Groundpine, Princess Pine; Family: Lycopodiaceae (Clubmoss); Genus: Dendrolycopodium; Species: dendroideum
NATIVE PLANT: They grow wild all over our place, but I gotta clamber through the woods full of fallen down logs, low branches and bush growing close together at time to get 'em.
SUSTAINABLY HARVESTED: I take just a few and leave a bunch from each area or cluster, as opposed to taking a bunch and leaving a few. And since they grow slow, I keep track and make sure not to harvest from the same place more than once every 3 yrs.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: It's probably best to give the stems a fresh cut, taking off 0.25'' - 0.5'' so the wound is fresh and can absorb water more easily...but that's only if you want it to stay soft and fresh. HOWEVER, you may not want to do this if you intend to dry them out and preserve them, or for other reasons. It depends on what you're using them for. Everyone uses these for different purposes, so please research what is recommended for you to do with fresh cut evergreen branches, based on your desired use of this plant.

HANDLING TIME: We'll bring it to the post office within 2-3 BUSINESS days.
    POSTAL CARRIER: USPS Priority
PACKAGING: These don't have roots, or if they do, it was accidental, and not on purpose. So I won't wrap the bottom of the stem as if there are roots (unless you ask me to), but I will give the stem a fresh cut and wrap in a wet paper towel so the plant can get something to drink while in transit. Then I'll put these in a plastic bag inside a box (probably a repurposed shopping bag that's not closed tightly so moisture doesn't rot it while in transit).
